First of all, my approach to therapy for depression involves exploring the life stressors that have brought on and maintained your depression. These can be from the past or present. Included in this we identify thought processes that accompany these. Through a variety of treatments such as finding ways to change your thinking and behavior you will feel more empowered and more fully self-aware. We will also pinpoint key themes which are causing the stress and which influence your thoughts and feelings about yourself and others. By being aware of these images you will understand where you are vulnerable and then we work together to strengthen those areas.

It is important to first understand the severity of the depression and take the necessary steps to insure the safety of the client. Depression can be a symptom that says something is going on in your life that needs to be addressed.
