The word "Depression" is used to describe so many different feelings. It can take courage to admit to feelings of depression, but it is also a sign of wisdom to seek help to deal with it. Depression can interfere with our ability to care and be cared for, to give and receive, and to love and be loved. Depression is more than just "a bad day" or feeling blue. It's not a sign of weakness nor is it something you can just snap out of. We believe that together we can help you climb back up the hill to transform your mood, your feelings and your life.

Depression, sadness, discouragement, hopelessness and helplessness are feelings most of us will experience at some point during our lifetime. These will be the difficult times that we may not be able to handle on our own. It demonstrates strength to reach out when things seem to be at their worst. Working through things together with someone who is a skilled helper makes the seemingly impossible possible.

Depression is a symptom that could result from a number of factors: brain chemistry, diet, exercise, trauma wounds, hidden anger, failing relationships, family tension, burnout, boredom, and others. It could also possibly be the threshold to a new stage of growth and healing. I work alongside clients to explore these possibilities, and find avenues to real healing.
