I believe that depression can be one of three things. Maybe it is purely biochemical (although I have my doubts that depression is ever just purely biochemical). Depression can also possibly be what I call "stuck sadness". And in many, many cases depression turns out to be anger that has been turned inward. Depression is not a matter of “having a poor attitude” nor is it something that a person can will away. This often misunderstood state is a real biological condition every bit as much as diabetes.
