Some clients are only temporarily depressed perhaps from something situational in their lives. I can help them to resolve that situation in empowering and satisfying ways that lift them out of their depression. Other clients may have clinical depression that seems unresolvable. I can help them function more effectively in their daily lives through a variety of therapies. In both cases, it is important to look at what thoughts and behaviors feed into maintaining the depression, and with an understanding of this, clients then begin to function at a higher level than before.

I find that depression has a component of belief around powerlessness. I usually address the negative belief pattern the person is carrying along with the accompanying emotions that are stored. Expressive therapies can be beneficial as well as well hypnotherapy that addresses the source of the powerlessness, sadness and anger. Then practice at changing cognitive patterns and affirmations are used.
