Dealing with depression can be one of the most difficult obstacles an individual can face. My approach to working with depression is starting where you are. I begin simply by listening to you. Form there we can work on the basics, sleep schedule, diet, and exercise. Depression can be beaten with patience and consistency. I have found success using several forms of treatment for depression, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and psychodynamic theory. The goal is to stop the cycle of negative emotions causing negative thoughts and then negative thoughts causing negative emotions. It's a difficult cycle but together we can recognize unhealthy patterns and change them.

Research shows that Omega 3 fatty acids (fish oils), exercise, thought-changing, Dr. Pennebaker writing techniques, light therapy and a simple biofeedback process called HeartMath can all help resolve depression.
