Portion control seems to work well along with music therapy. It used to be thought that listening to the radio boosts appetite at mealtimes. By the same token, discontinuing the music can help a heavy person reduce.

For eating disorders, my view is that there can be different causes that fuel the problem. Is it a chemical imbalance? Is it a family problem? What's underneath the problem? Is there a deeper issue that needs to be uncovered that can create change? Who else is being affected by the disorder? How has this symptom affected the larger system? I can't say I have one technique or strategy because I believe there is more within the story that needs to be heard in order for change to occur.
