As a licensed clinical psychologist I began doing research, therapy, and training in eating disorders when I was on the faculty at the University of Chicago Department of Psychiatry. I worked with Crag Johnson, Reid Larsen, and other psychologists at the Eating Disorders Program at Michael Reese Hospital/University of Chicago. My main interest is in doing individual therapy with Bulimia Nervosa, but in addition to bulimia I work with anorexia and other eating disorders as well.

My approach to someone with an eating disorder— whether Anorexia , Bulimia or other unspecified eating disorders—is to focus on core issues like dependence on parents, difficulties in problem solving and the needs for control.
