i use a whole person approach when working with a teen or adult that has an eating disorder. My approach includes expressive therapy such as art, journeling, and music. I incorporate yoga therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, meditation, and hypnosis. Forgiveness work, exercise, nutrition, and affirmation therapy are part of treatment . I require the patient to be under the care of a physician if a diagnosis of bulimia or anorexia is made. Many times substance abuse issues are also present when a patient has an eating disorder and help for that will be required also. I am also a registered nurse with nutritional and dietary experience. I am a certified Barbaric Hypnotherapist.
