I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. Depending on the client’s symptoms (behaviors) and their goals, I will individualize a treatment plan. I may recommend that a client seek additional support from a nutritionist and/or doctor. When treating adolescents, family therapy is often a component of their treatment plan. For clients who suffer from chronic or compulsive overeating, chronic restricting, chronic dieting, orthorexia or other disordered eating I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). My clinical approach is individually tailored based on the client’s past experiences, personal goals and behavioral profile.
