I have vast experience in the treatment of eating disorders. It is important to recognize that an eating disorder is rooted beyond just a fear of food. It is a complicated emotional disturbance, causing the individual deep suffering. I work from a Family Based Treatment (FBT) approach, highlighting that while the family system is greatly affected, no one person or people are to blame for an individuals struggle with an eating disorder. Through our work we will address malnourishment, address family system issues, and empower the individual to take ownership of his or her recovery.
