Eating disorders most often have to do with a deep struggle of confused identity and insecurities. From self image misbeliefs to a feeling of being unloved, there are many reasons eating disorders can form. We specifically start with helping you discover your purpose in life as well as what makes you worthy, beautiful and valuable. When you can be confident in who you are and what you are meant for, it will begin to free you from the stronghold of eating disorders.

Often eating disorders are the surface result of pain unseen. I work with clients as we gently move from the surface of their behavior (using food or lack of food to cope with feelings) to the lower chambers of the heart where the emotional gashes are festering and gushing pain. Often when those wounds are found and pulled gently into the light they receive permission to heal. I also utilize EMDR by helping clients process the time in their life when their relationship with food began to spiral downward. EMDR is a wonderful to experience healthy challenge and great change in regards to shame and food.
