Every family member wants to be understood and validated. And the wonderful thing about family therapy is that change can happen much faster, because everyone is working towards a happier shared life.

Family therapy is a form of counseling that views problems as an expression of patterns of behavior that exist within the inter-relations of family members. Rather than attributing the problem behavior to an individual member, the entire family system is taken into account. Capital Counseling works with families to understand how undesired behaviors function within the family system, and to identify changes in behavior among several or all family members that eliminate the targeted behavior. Family therapy can be helpful in preventing any one individual from being labeled as “the problem” as it focuses on the social context of the family out of which the behavior develops.
