Family therapy involves an exploration of family conflict between parents and siblings. Our long-term goals is helping to reduce oppositional behavior, clarification/resolution/acceptance of past conflict, and to achieve a reasonable level of family connectedness and harmony where the family members can help, show concern, and connect with each other. For the teenager, we’ll work on increasing the level of independent functioning and developing a plan for healthy and responsible emancipation from parents.
