There's an expression "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts". Healthy individuals make up healthy families. One individual in the family affects other parts of the family - just as one affected part of our body can affect the other parts of our body. With so much chaos and struggle happening outside of the home, it is so important that the home be stable, safe and a "sanctuary." It is a comfort to have an objective third person in the mix to coach and encourage new patterns and different ways to work through differences and experience healthier happier relationships.

Leading a family can difficult. So many different personalities and expectations. When one or more family members does not feel loved or when there is anger or resentment, the pain is felt in the entire household. Together we can explore how to move past defensiveness, anger and hurt and move toward understanding, acceptance and respect and togetherness.

When you are impacted by an event or emotion, so is your family. When any member of your family is impacted by an event or emotion, so are you. Working with as many members of the system as possible is critical to creating lasting, effective change. Communication and active listening skills are some of the key elements in a positive and healthy family atmosphere. Together, we can work on developing those necessary skills.
