It is helpful to work together because so many of the issues are triggered by the people we care most about and want to love us. Family work can be much quicker and easier as each member sees clearly how they impact the whole. There is very rarely a member of a family that can heal alone, they are partially the product of their environment, and need to see how they impact and are impacted by the family. I find family meetings very important for the validation of younger members, or those who feel intimidated by the authority in the group.
