I received my doctorate over twenty years ago and have continued training and practicing ever since. I provide an environment where you can feel completely accepted for who you are. We are all here to learn and grow, not to be judged by anyone, including ourselves. My goal is to help guide you to be able to identify and remove the blocks in your way from living the life you want. I will be by your side helping you to aim to understand, see things from a new perspective, and to provide optons for new ways of being in the world that work better for you in the short and long run. .

As an educational psychologist I specialize in evaluative services to better clarify special needs and disabilities, or giftedness that may be impacting a child's learning profile. My practice offers psychological, cognitive, or neuropsychological evaluations. The other clinicians in my practice provide a balanced approach to identification, treatment, and intervention for a variety of diagnoses or concerns from early childhood through adulthood.

As a clinical psychologist, I provide both psychotherapy and psychological testing. Because much information on psychotherapy is on this website, I will describe the testing. Psychological testing is an efficient way to gain a better understanding of yourself or your child. The type of testing I conduct includes: ADHD/ADD, personality (to gain an understanding of yourself to enhance therapy), gastric bipass and lapband readiness, readiness for fertility treatments/surrogacy, gifted evaluations, fitness for duty, IQ, and other mental health concerns (i.e., depression, schizophrenia).

As a psychologist, my approach to helping clients heal major mental illness, trauma, and other significant emotional and psychological problems with functioning well in daily life, is highly interpersonal. Research shows the therapeutic relationship is key to overcoming deep distress. My experience and extensive training show the relational approach to be highly effective especially in working with high risk teens, men who say they'd never go to therapy, persons in high stress careers like law enforcement, emergency medicine, and the military. I also specialize in issues related to eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal adjustment. See my website for details.
