There are many different types of therapists out there, with a variety of specialties, levels and types of training and experience. A Psychologist is a mental health professional who has an earned Doctoral Degree and passed the most rigorous professional training and licensing requirements in the field. These professionals most typically focus their practice on talk or behavioral therapies and have the widest variety of and deepest understanding of and training in therapeutic techniques. Psychologists are capable of working with the widest variety of issues including the most complex and challenging types of mental health issues.

I have engaged in my own journey to unpack and release unhelpful beliefs, limitations, and burdens that weren’t mine to carry. I changed my career path and became a psychologist because this work has been so transformative for me. It is my passion to help you on this journey. I am a pre-licensed counseling psychologist this means I have completed doctoral coursework and am working towards gaining licensure in my state. I received my degree from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. I have seven years of experience working with clients and am supervised by licensed psychologist Maya Weir.
