I am a psychologist with over 15 years helping people with a variety of problems and concerns. I provide a safe environment so you can feel comfortable talking about what bothers you. Together we can come up with a plan to get you to where you would like to be. I treat depression; dysthymia; anxiety; infertility, pregnancy and postpartum concerns; and anyone who would like a better understanding of themselves and relationships.

Trying to understand these differences and finding the type of therapist that is right for you can be confusing and sometimes frustrating. A Psychologist is a mental health professional who has an earned Doctoral Degree and passed the most rigorous professional training and licensing requirements in the field. These professionals most typically focus their practice on talk or behavioral therapies and have the widest variety of and deepest understanding of and training in therapeutic techniques. Psychologists are capable of working with the widest variety of issues including the most complex and challenging types of mental health issues.

A psychologist has the highest level of training in therapy and understanding the mind. Psychology means literally the "Study of the Mind". Just like a physician is a true Doctor of the body, I am a true Doctor of the mind or psyche, possessing special knowledge of its strengths, weaknesses, and ailments. I have an additional 10 years of graduate level education and training, past my 4 year bachelors degree. Many therapists only have a masters degree. When I work with you, I bring all of my specialized knowledge and expertise to help you resolve your problem, deeply understand yourself, and help you connect more fully with who you are and where you want your life to go.

I am a Holistic Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in depression and anxiety, Inner Child healing/Soul work, Relationship Counseling, Abuse Survivor Recovery, Addiction Recovery, and Mindfulness Counseling, Law of Attraction Counseling, and Plant Ceremony Integration Counseling. I have a holistic, spiritual approach. I use somatic techniques including breath work and guided visualizations for soul work and inner child healing, and EFT (Emotional Freedom (Tapping)Technique). I empower clients by giving them tools for life that are easy to integrate into their daily routine.

Taking this step towards seeking help is a courageous and kind choice. And I know how challenging this can be. I have engaged in my own journey to unpack and release unhelpful beliefs, limitations, and burdens that weren’t mine to carry. I changed my career path and became a psychologist because this work has been so transformative for me. It is my passion to help you on this journey. I am a pre-licensed counseling psychologist this means I have completed doctoral coursework and am working towards gaining licensure in my state. I received my degree from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. I have seven years of experience working with clients and am supervised by licensed psychologist Maya Weir.
