After completing a thorough assessment of the presented problem. I then provide education and propose a plan of action to resolve that problem and others that may have surfaced during the assessment process. I utilize a variety of techniques to include conventional and alternative approaches which I feel may be most helpful for my client towards achieving their goals. Sometimes we need help getting through the difficult times in our lives. We know that we need to change our perspective, gain positive insights, put our lives in order or simply just get motivated. For some of us, we are aware of the difficulties that our parents or families have been through and we want to be sure not to approach life the same way they did. I can assist you in your journey to explore, understand, change and grow.

Psychotherapy incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques and skills in order to help an individual realize the voids in their life, acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses and develop strategies to improve quality of life and gain more positive coping skills. I utilize Solution Focused Therapy to accomplish these goals and help an individual take control of their life.

Wikipedia defines psychotherapy as: " the use of psychological methods, particularly when based on regular personal interaction, to help a person change and overcome problems in desired ways ... to improve an individual's well-being and mental health, to resolve or mitigate troublesome behaviors, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts, or emotions, and to improve relationships and social skills." We can't say it any better than that. All staff perform psychotherapy as stated above, usually beginning with weekly visits and once stabilization occurs to bi-weekly. Our goal is stability for the client and providing tools and strategies that can be employed so you can have the life you desire.
