As a trained psychotherapist and counselor, my aim is to help my clients challenge and rewrite the negative automatic thoughts and negative core beliefs that they hold of themselves. Beliefs such as "I am not worthwhile" or "I am stupid" or "I am too much or not enough" were often learned in childhood. Many clients find relief from cognitive behavioral therapy which helps them examine and change negative behaviors, thoughts and emotions which lead to anxiety and depression and a host of other mental health problems. Clients also benefit from EMDR, an evidence based psychotherapy which has proven to be effective in helping those struggling with distressing negative memories and PTSD.
