Within my private practice, I offer individual adult psychotherapy. My approach while working with you is to see you as a unique individual. Developing a therapeutic relationship that can assist you in coming to know, learn and understand your internal world. Our internal world is made up of conscious and unconscious thoughts, feelings, fears and anxieties that do impact our external choices. My treatment approach is to help you open up more awareness of yourself internally to be able to grow more skills to care for yourself in different ways. I believe we develop symptoms when our internal selves feel stuck and unable to grow. Therapy is about fostering growth.

Psychotherapy helps individuals to understand more of the underlying reasons, contributors and factors of life struggles. People are not the same, so every therapist and treatment plan is not the same! I work with my clients on those areas and goals they feel they want to work on, collaborating with my clients on what feels right for them and what direction they want to go. I am not the "knower of all," as time and time again it is shown YOU are the expert of YOUR life!

My approach to psychotherapy is to collaborate with my clients. My first goal is to understand your values, viewpoints, what you want and what you don't want. Most of us have not really put these concepts into words yet, so beginning right away, this can be very helpful. The next step is to identify the barriers in front of us. These are always present when we feel 'stuck', and they can be external or internal. Find out what is keeping you from your goals and dreams, and start living your best life!
