My approach to counselling is primarily that of cognitive behavioral therapy. Simply put it means that I help clients gain insight into how they perceive themselves, others, and the world around them. Then help them to identify how they are responding to those perceptions through how they relate to themselves, others, and the world around them. In order to resolve issues I help them develop healthy perceptions, and develop positive ways to interact and respond.

My approach to counselling is threefold.
Aspect # 1 ... my office needs to be a place of safety where clients are free to process their issues free of Judgment, Force, Expectations, or Filters being placed upon them.
Aspect # 2 ... I never tell people what to do. Instead, I will “come alongside” as a fellow human being to listen, rephrase, suggest and challenge.
Aspect # 3 ... Behaviors and Feelings stem from Core Beliefs. These Core beliefs (either healthy or unhealthy, need to be explored, processed and at times challenged. Counselling for Healthy beliefs is about boundary setting. Counselling for unhealthy beliefs is about challenging them.
