I like to think that nobody should be in therapy for years. My approach to helping clients is to teach them coping skills that they can practice on their own outside of the therapy session. Thereby teaching the client how to help themselves to work through their own issues. I have a large file of effective exercises on a wide variety of topics that I utilize in therapy with my clients.
