Each client is looked upon as a child of God with strengths and challenges. Clients are unique individuals that share common frailties and the process of developmental growth at all levels is the key that leads us to understanding and transformational change. Psychotherapy is a collaborative journey that we embark on together in a safe and trusting environment. Together we come to turning points that create opportunities for lasting and meaningful change.
Trisha Dittrick, M.A., LPC
I focus on the here and now because that's all we have. We can't change what has already happened and the future isn't here yet. What we need to reconcile within ourselves usually comes from some previous event or in anticipation for something upcoming. I teach clients tools to stay present which is the only time we can have the most impact and change. I also bring attention to body. We are living, energetic beings. When things are going well we take in and we release. When we're in pain, emotional and/or physical we clench, contract and brace against. Bringing focus on the body brings greater insight and awareness. I also place emphasis on relationship, including the therapeutic.

I use an eclectic approach to treatment based on each client's unique needs and always begin by gathering a thorough history and discussing the client's treatment goals. My primary approaches to treatment include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Family Systems Theory. CBT is an evidenced-based approach and has been shown to be effective for depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and addictions. EMDR is an approach to specifically treat trauma.
Howard Lambert, Ph.D.
Individual psychotherapy is a human encounter between two real people. In this encounter I need to be an accessible and honest participant. I see my clients as fellow travelors on the road to mental health and fullfilling relationships. Since I began my journey 50 years ago I may be farther along and I may have accumulated certain wisdom on the way. I take it as my job to tell you about any self-defeating behaviors I see you using and to give you ideas about what healthy alternative behaviors might be. Therapy is a joint endeavor designed to support youo in ejecting behaviors that keep you stuck and mastering new behaviors that increase your chances of deepening intimacy.
Stewart Brown, Ph.D.
The real therapist is within actually, and the clinical psychologist only is the facilitator of this realization. Part of the facilitation process involves assisting the client in understanding burdens and then letting go of them so that there's peace and harmony in the internal system. There are many different ways to achieve this kind of resolution, but the process used should fit the individual client. My orientation depends a good bit on the client, but for the last ten years I have leaned heavily on a methodology called Internal Family Systems Therapy. If you want to learn more about this approach, I recommend a website: www.selfleadership.org. or call me.

For psychotherapy to be successful, first the client must have a commitment to the process and be motivated to change. Secondly, the therapist must have effective techniques and tools that can assist the client in achieving his/her goals and third, the client must experience a supportive relationship with the therapist. In fact, research shows that the compassionate presence of the psychotherapist affects positive outcomes in therapy to a greater degree than any specific technique or modality used. Pamela Welch has this type of gentle, heartfelt presence that creates a safe space for your healing transformation to occur while also providing powerful techniques that support lasting change.
Ann Wilson, MA, MBA
I create and hold a non-judgmental, open atmosphere, and use a combination of present moment contact, curiosity, some explanations of theory, and invite you to explore your inner experience. I use a relational approach to help you go deeper into understanding issues and opportunities. The sessions are more than just talk; I use experiential approaches, including body awareness, and Gestalt experiments.
Casey Ryan, M.A.
Psychotherapy is a general term referring to therapeutic interaction or treatment contracted between a trained professional and a client, patient, family, couple or group. Its aim is to increase the individual’s sense of his/her own well-being, by learning from their habits, both positive and negative & growing from them in a positive and healthy manner. This can be accomplished through open, unbiased, conversations and exercises provided by a professional therapist.
Susan Nofziger, MSW, LCSW
Starting wherever you are on your life's journey, we'll talk about your current situation and your goals for therapy. I listen with warmth and compassion and offer support, guidance and problem solving and practical solutions. During therapy, people report an increase in self awareness and insight. This can lead to doing whatever is necessary in your life. People report better relationships, increased self esteem and confidence, less anxiety and depression. You deserve to feel better!

I work with individuals, couples and families to better understand the complexities of trauma and the effects on behavior, emotions and self worth. While there are many therapists who work with survivors of trauma there aren't as many who work with the partners and family members whose loved one has experienced trauma whether through war, a natural disaster or through domestic violence. Trauma affects everyone in the family whether or not they were present at the time the trauma occurred. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my client’s individual need in order to help attain the personal growth for with they strive.

Psychotherapy is essential to help you process the thoughts and concerns you have on a day to day basis. Many people have concerns that have never been dealt with over a long period of time. These concerns can eat at you internally and eventually disrupt normal functioning. Using psychotherapy you can work on an individual basis with us to better understand any concerns you have, and get the tools to work through them. We utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to help you change the way you think as well as psychodynamic therapy to learn about any concerns that have been bothering you in the past.
Lorrie Schroffel, LCSW
I believe that the process of psychotherapy is an excellent means to better self understanding, expanding choices and finding more satisfying relationships. Putting feelings into words and becoming as authentic as possible leads to healthier communication, more caring relationships and greater satisfaction in all parts of our lives. A psychotherapeutic relationship and the process of engaging in therapy creates both compassion for others and self-understanding.

I have a Ph.D in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am a professor of psychology as well as a supervisor for those working toward licensure in the state. I have many years of experience working with individual, couples, and families. I work interactively, taking into account each unique personality, desires, needs and goals. I fully understand that most people who come to therapy don’t have a lot of time and money to invest in long term therapy so my goal is to get as much processing done as we can as safely as possible as quickly as we can. Idealy, I’d like you to learn tools to help yourself, your partner, or other family members, so you won’t need me any longer.
