Located about 20 miles south of St. Louis, the city of Festus, MO offers an abundance of recreational activities for families. The Jefferson County Family YMCA is located in the city of Festus and offers an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a gymnasium and fitness classes for adults, children and teenagers. Current Initiatives

In order to address the growing mental health needs of local schoolchildren, the Saint Louis Mental Health Board has implemented the Healthy Kids Connection Project. The primary mission of the project is to identify common childhood mental illnesses and provide appropriate care for children in St. Louis-area elementary schools.
