About Halifax, NS

Bedford, Clayton Park, Dartmouth, Fall River, Halifax – Mainland, Kingswood / Hammond Plains, Sackville, Timberlea

Dartmouth, founded in 1750, and nicknamed the “City of Lakes” was a city on its own, until the provincial government amalgamated over 200 urban and rural communities in 1996 forming a single tiered government under the Halifax Regional Municipality.   In 1955 the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge linked Dartmouth to Halifax, and in 1970 the A. Murray MacKay Bridge opened leading to further growth of the community.   As part of this growth, counselling Halifax, NS is also a growing service that helps bring awareness and new insight into your circumstances. The original neighborhood names are in use today particularly on mapping documents for 9-1-1 service, municipal planning and postal addresses.  Tourism has been growing in numerous coastal communities particularly Peggy’s Cove and Lawrence Town. The Halifax Regional Municipality comprises nearly 200 seperate communities and numerous festivals and events throughout the year.

The Maritime climate influence is coastal weather throughout the year avoiding any extremes such as are experienced inland.  The winters can be mild and the summers cooler.  July and August have tropical growing temperatures with precipitation being highest from October through January.  If you are in crisis and cannot seem to find any joy in life, we urge you to reach out for help. Christian counselling Halifax NS focuses on spiritual, emotional, and physical well being, and can be considered a "whole person" therapy. Typically, Hallifax counselling sees an increase in clients during the period of September and January.  Dalhousie University was established in 1868 being a medical teaching facility training doctors in the future delivery of health care in the Maritime Provinces.  Students progress through their education having top scientists and clinicians providing hands-on experience in research.
