The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Southwest Minnesota partners with various local agencies to deliver support services to people who experience mental health-related difficulties. For veterans, a PTSD support group is offered at the Southeastern Minnesota Center for Independent Living. The group gives veterans and their family members an opportunity to share their experiences and help one another through the healing process. The group is facilitated by a trained clinician who is also a combat veteran. Current Education

Heading Home Minnesota is an initiative enacted in all parts of the state to bring about an end homelessness. In Olmstead County, Heading Home is developing options for long-term housing, as well as devising strategies to provide shelter on a transitional, temporary, or emergency basis.
