Quality time. Just the sound of those two words makes our hearts smile. Quality time when you have children. The sound of that leaves many of us wishing we had some quality time with our spouses. Still, for others, they want quality time with their spouses, but they feel guilty about scheduling a trip without the kiddos or even scheduling a date night. [More]

doesit matter whoisthe breadwinnerinthe family
In today's world, as compared to 40 or 50 years ago, husbands are much more accepting of their wives being professionals and making money by working outside of the home. Gone are the days when men believed their wives should be home raising the kids and taking care of the house. Fast forward 30 to 40 years to the adult lives of those children who were at home with mom while dad was at work. There are still some men who think they should be the breadwinner in their family and that their wives should be home raising their children or working only part-time hours! These thoughts are due to the beliefs instilled into these men when they were young. They were home with their mothers while their fathers were working. [More]

Grief is the human response to loss and the suffering you feel when something is lost or someone you love is gone. Gone can mean death, as well as merely gone from your life. The more you loved the person that is no longer with you, the greater your grief will be. The most common action associated with grief is the loss of a loved one, but many other things in our lives can cause us to suffer, including relationships, things we take for granted, such as a job or our home, or a dream. How Fighting with Your Ex Impacts Your Kids

how fightingwith your ex impacts your kids
If you really take time to think about it, it's tough enough on kids to be the children of divorced parents. It's difficult for them to understand that it's okay to love both parents and to depend on both parents. Divorce hurts. Everyone in the family gets hurt to some extent. Sometimes the kids are scarred for years, especially if their parents are at war for a long time and are always fighting in front of them. Some studies have even shown that divorced parents who fight in front of their children can cause more harm to them than did the divorce itself. [More]

comingto termswithan abusive childhood
There are so many factors that can affect people as adults as the result of growing up in an abusive childhood. There are so many types of abuse and so many different forms of abuse that many times, when these survivors become adults, life may actually be harder for them than when they were children or even when they were survivors. Probably the more common issues that survivors will have as the direct result of being abused as a child are anxiety, depression, and even post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Also common are trust issues and intimacy issues in adults. [More]

Let's break it down. Flattery can be defined as pleasing someone by giving them [almost] constant compliments. It can also be defined as making excessive comments and praises in order to play upon someone's vanity. This article will show you ways to flatter your spouse, in good, healthy ways, by never letting your spouse know that you find them attractive, caring, or whatever else will make them feel good about themselves.
