Join us, at The Satori Centre, for a 6 week Beginner's Vipassana (Mindfulness) Meditation Course.
The course will run every Monday night from 6:30-7:30(ish).
We will look at the origins of meditation, some of the different types, the 'how to's' of meditation along with the benefits, the challenges and many other aspects of Vipassana meditation.
This course is good for those who have never meditated before or for those who wish to 'kick start' their practice.
The format will be a short teaching, followed by a meditation sit, followed by a chance to ask questions or share about your experience. We will start with guided meditations and move to silent sits through the 6 weeks.
The class is free but space is made for DANA, a Buddhist tradition of giving, from the heart, in response to receiving.
No equipment is needed as The Satori Centre provides meditation cushions (zafus) and chairs, whichever suits you. Many usefull items to build your meditation practice are available in the Satori Shoppe. Check the website for more details. www.satoricentre.ca
