Perched along the Pacific Ocean, Huntington Beach offers many beach and surf activities. The four beaches in the city face in different directions: west, northwest, south, and southwest. Families in need of a helping hand can find the assistance they require at the Catholic Charities of Orange County. The Catholic Charities provide an array of services, from crisis counseling to housing for low-income adults to recreational activities for those with developmental disabilities. Additionally, the charity will help eligible families apply for the CalFRESH program so they can get nutritious food they otherwise could not afford. The charity's food pantry is available for families who struggle to acquire enough food, but who do not qualify for the CalFRESH program.
