My approach to treating issues such as anger largely depends on the person, their background, goals, and the general severity of the issue. I have found that folks struggling with anger often feel that parts of life just are not fair. These feelings shouldn't be ignored, however other thoughts and feelings shouldn't either. Angry interactions, feelings, and thoughts are very "loud." If gone unchecked anger can drown out positive feelings, thoughts, and interactions that are just as valid. My approach to dealing with anger is to give it a voice, but to honor other thoughts and feelings as well. As anger is herd and these other parts gain more prominence anger dissipates.
