Salina, Kansas is located in the north central part of the state, with around 46,000 residents. The temperature in Salina ranges from below 20 degrees in the wintertime, to around the 90's in the summertime, with about 32 inches of precipitation per year. The main economic industry in the city is agriculture, where residents and visitors alike can see grain elevators all around, including the local Catholic Church, which is shaped like a grain silo. The foundation offers an eight-week anger management program that helps people identify their anger triggers, develop effective coping skills, and engage in appropriate levels of self-control. Childcare Aware of Kansas engages in various initiatives to improve the quality of services for families and raise awareness about important issues related to childhood mental health. Their advocacy initiative seeks to increase funding for child healthcare services, as well as after-school programs that facilitate social and emotional growth.
