We have all experienced anxiety and stress at certain points in our lives, and some of us much more than others. I will help you navigate and better understand the source of your anxiety and/or stress, which often times lies beneath the surface, and will help you in finding effective and healthy coping skills that help you deal with the stressors in your life, as well as collaborate on ways to reduce to stressors, when and if possible.

The goal of therapy is to stop the behaviors that have had devastating effects on you and those around you and to create more of what you do want in your life; healthy relationships, meaningful time with family and friends, increased productivity at work, feeling comfortable in your own skin, and sustained peace of mind. We help provide a safe environment without judgement to allow healing to begin.

Everyone experiences anxiety at some point, but for some the anxiety is so frequent or intense that it interferes with their lives or even triggers panic attacks. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients get a sense of control over their own anxiety. We collaborate to learn skills to reduce the frequency or intensity of the anxious feelings, to tolerate the anxiety when it does occur so they can still function through it, and to practice habits that reduce stress and improve general mental health.
