Children in Orillia, Ontario have come to love the community splash pads. These water-themed recreational parks offer all manner of water activities without deep water. The McKinnel Square Park, Victoria Park, and Clayt French Park all offer public access for an afternoon of warm weather fun. For a little bit of dry fun, head to Homewood Park for an exciting and intense round of disc golf. Mental Health in Orillia

Orillia is a small town with a population of only about 40,000 residents, the majority of which are over the age of 40 years old. With three colleges in town as well, Orillia is also home to many students. Mental health is important at all ages and Orillia has resources available to its residents to promote a healthy lifestyle and well balanced living to achieve good mental health over all. Among these programs is New Path, an organization based on helping families and youth residents obtain optimum mental health. To inquire about the services offered at New Path, they can be reached by phone at 705-733- 2654.2 There are also programs available for residents with more serious mental health issues. Such programs include The Meeting Place in Orillia, which is an activity based peer support program for people with severe mental illnesses. At the Lakehead University campus in Orillia, many programs are offered for undergraduate, post graduate and other areas of study.
