Various non-profits and social service agencies in Ridgewood provide support groups for residents who struggle with a mental health issue. This peer support group assists children in resolving their feelings in a healthy manner by sharing feelings, learning effective coping strategies, and garnering emotional support from peers. Current Education

Ridgewood Public Schools is dedicated to providing programming that supports the development of children with special needs. Academic services and socio-emotional supports are included in each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) as devised by the Special Programs Office, school personnel, and the child's parent or guardian. These services are available to any child with an identified need, be that physical, mental, behavioral, or linguistic in nature.
