If you are like most couples I see, you are worried about
your relationship and are searching for ways to change the negative patterns
that seem to be dragging you down and making life less enjoyable. Perhaps you
are feeling unheard and very alone in your relationship or you are facing
infidelity. Separation is not necessarily the solution. You may need help to
cope and move forward. Learning to break down the barriers in any relationship
will help all relationships. With my support, individuals and couples of all ethnicities, will learn new skills and insights to develop healthy ways to relate to each other and help to create the relationships they long to have. Ideally it is best if all those who are in the relationship come in to see me but if it’s not possible please come in alone. We may find that your issues are very straightforward or that a series of meetings may be needed or possibly you decide that the ‘chemistry’ between us is not right.

I started working with people when I was 15 as a Day Camp Counsellor on the West Island of Montreal. Later in my career, I worked with at-risk youth and their families and teachers. I am married; my husband and I have 4 children.Once our youngest entered high school I returned to school and obtained a Masters degree specializing in counselling/therapy. Since then, I attained a degree specializing in couples counselling from the University of Ottawa. I opened my own practice in 2010.

My job is to make you feel comfortable and supported, while we work collaboratively towards attaining your individual goals. In the process you will learn the skills and tools it takes to have satisfying relationships. In the sessions I use an integrated approach drawing on the expertise of many theorists while maintaining a multicultural perspective.

As a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) I provide ethical and up-to-date practices. As of August 2015 I am a Registered Psychotherapist.

From my office at 1002 Beaverbrook Road (Beaverbrook Center), in Kanata, I serve clients all over the Ottawa area. There is free parking and easy access to OC Transpo.
