Lake Worth, FL bills itself as the place “where the tropics begin.” Located in Palm Beach County on the southeastern shore of Florida, Lake Worth offers a number of family friendly facilities and activities. The Lake Worth Municipal Beach is one of the last remaining large open beaches in southeast Florida. Current Initiatives

Compass is a gay and lesbian center that offers: social support, mentor programs for youth groups, and open discussions, as they strive to increase awareness of the positive portrayal of gender or lifestyle differences.  Compass also provides resources for medical help, HIV testing, and athletic fitness including: two women’s softball leagues and one tackle football, as well as offering yoga.  They have a ‘Coming Out’ support group that meets every Thursday at 6:30.  For more information please call, 561-533-9699.5
