You've met all the expectations of you family, the grades, the degrees, staying out of trouble, and the career, but you hate your job, and you don't know what to do or how to do what you want without your family being upset with you, especially when they sacrificed so much for you. Dating is tough and you feel burned out by all the apps, rejection, and disappointments. You wonder if you will be alone forever.

You scroll your Instagram feed, missing your ex, wishing you had some of the lives of your other friends - they all seem so happy and all you have is this job that pays well but doesn't feel fulfilled at all. You compare yourself to others through social media and envy all the success, and fun that your friends seem to be having."What's wrong with me?" Is a question you always ask yourself. Because what you are doing, isn't working. It isn't leading to you being really happy. Life doesn’t seem to be as fulfilling as you thought it would be.

I help young seemingly successful adults figure out their next steps while trying to navigate all the wishes of their families. I will show you how to navigate young adulthood and be your best self. I listen well to my clients and ask deep and challenging questions designed to make you think more critically about your life. I offer perspectives on life that are designed to challenge you to think in new ways so that you can foster new ways of living. In therapy, I invite you to be your most authentic self where you are free from expectations, performance, or guilt. I work on all of this so that you can have the clarity to the questions and doubts that you have with being a young adult.
As an Asian American, I understand the complexities of navigating the cultural challenges that arise from being Asian American such as family dynamics, racism, and identity. I understand what it is like to balance the pressure of others and figure out what you truly desire. Many of my clients come to me because they want a therapist who understands the culture of their family in a white society.Contact me for a free consult to start breaking the chains of expectations and to start discovering what it means to live a life true to yourself, without the worry, anxiety, and disappointment.
