I believe therapy is unique to every person and, thus, each person should have a therapeutic approach tailored to fit their unique needs. Therapy should be a place where each person I see should feel safe and unconditionally accepted to bring any part of themselves and issues without fear of judgement- something that is at the core of my counselling practice, because I believe a person begins to heal the moment they feel heard. I also believe that therapy should be accessible to anyone and everyone- this includes people who may not be comfortable seeing a therapist face-to-face. Sometimes leaving your home can be one of the biggest barriers to accessing therapy, or even making a phone call to speak with someone about therapy can be too overwhelming. I both believe and have seen therapy prove to be just as valid, meaningful, and successful for someone who chooses to voice their thoughts and feelings via video, phone, email, or text compared to someone choosing traditional face-to-face therapy.Wild Lotus Counselling was created to offer therapy through online sources for people who may not find a sustainable suitable fit with traditional face-to-face counselling- be it due to inconvenience, worries about privacy, or simply not being a comfortable-enough option to access the therapy everyone deserves.
If you have a desire to change your life, empower yourself, and have the ability to make a phone call, hold a video chat, type an email, or send a text, you have the ability to access the quality therapy you deserve- and Wild Lotus Counselling will be there to help when you need it.
