At Foundations Counseling, Ashley Braund helps clients overcome a variety of issues they may be struggling with. She has aided individuals suffering from severe anxiety and depression, trauma and abuse recovery, self-care, weight-loss, and holistic health in unlocking their truly healthy inner selves. She has helped many couples and relationships recover from affairs, divorce, marital difficulties, and miscommunication. Her child and adolescent clients have found healing from toxic images of their self-esteem and self-worth as well as school and family issues, trauma or abuse, and the effects of divorce. She also offers life guidance counseling for those struggling in their career, life transitions, relocation, and individual development.
Ashley has a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling along with a Child and Adolescent Certificate from the University of Northern Colorado. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation with a psychology minor from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Ashley is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), advocating for the right to leisure and healthy lifestyles for individuals with illnesses or disabling conditions. She worked at Shriner’s Hospital for Children – Twin Cities as well as Banner Medical Center assisting individuals with their mental and physical conditions.
Ashley earned a Registered Behavioral Therapist Certificate (RBT) while working with children with autism diagnoses. She has facilitated social skills groups for children with autism by providing age appropriate resources on how to improve communication. She also created and facilitated a sibling support group to provide an outlet for children and adolescents who have a sibling with an autism diagnosis.
