Hi - I’m Ayala. Thank you for reaching out and taking the first courageous step in your journey toward greater health.

I am a Counselling Psychology graduate of OISE and have volunteered extensively as a first-line crisis responder with Distress Centers and Canadian Suicide Prevention Services. In these roles, I have been witness to the common humanity and the reservoir of strength, insight and problem-solving inherent in us all.

In my practice, I strive to create a warm and empowering environment so that you feel heard, understood and valued. My priority is your sense of comfort and safety - I honor the unique trust placed in me as your counsellor. Working with your specific needs and goals, we will use a client-centered approach to help you achieve your therapeutic hopes and goals.

Over the course of our interactions, we will draw upon lessons and experiences from a range of modalities, including client-centered therapy, emotion focused therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, trauma informed interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy and ACT.

I work with clients of diverse backgrounds but have a particular interest and training in women’s issues.  I believe that much of our vital wisdom is gathered from our unique experiences in our lives, and I allow my experiences as a woman and mother to act as an adjunct to my clinical understanding. Helping women through pivotal transitions, such as pregnancy, post-partum, menopause and the challenges of the post-menopausal years is a key area of passion and focus for me.

In addition, I work with individual adults and teens, with a focus on:

·       Anxiety and Depression

·       Relationship and Attachment issues

·       Isolation and Loneliness

·       Trauma and PTSD

·       Emotion Regulation

·       Self-criticism and Self-esteem

·       Stress and Burnout

·       Anger Management

·       Life Transitions

·       Grief and Loss

·       Parenting and caregiving stress

I am here to facilitate your shift towards a deeper self-awareness and will be present with you as you process a range of emotions and learn effective strategies to manage them. There is no greater reward for me than seeing clients discover resiliencies they didn’t know were within themselves, and to together traverse the path whereby pain and struggle become strength.

I am available during weekday hours with limited weeknight availability. My rate is $125 per 60-minute session. I have a limited number of sliding spots available.

As I know how important it is to connect comfortably with your therapist and to feel there is mutual rapport, I offer a complimentary 30-minute initial consultation.

To book, please email me at:

Looking forward to connecting with you!
