I am currently not accepting new clients until late fall 2021. I do have an intern working under me who is accepting new clients September 2021. She works on a sliding fee scale and more information about her, including a link to online booking can be found here
I am a registered psychologist in the province of Alberta. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2008 and followed by my Masters of Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University in 2012.
I have a background working with children and families, beginning in 2006 when I worked at the West Edmonton Parent Link centre, supporting families and assisting parents access appropriate supports for child development. While there, I developed an interest in post-partum depression and the impacts of maternal mental health on child development began. From there, I obtained a job as a Caseworker in Child Protection, where I increased my knowledge and skills on the impact of mental health issues on families and the best ways to support individuals through these times. While there I held several positions in relation to the investigation and case planning of children who have experienced abuse and neglect; culminating in a position on the Child At Risk Response Team (CARRT), where I was partnered with a member of the Edmonton City Police and responded to immanent cases of child abuse.

This accumulation of education and experience has led me to be interested in the areas of exposure to trauma, life transitions, interpersonal and occupational stress, mood disruptions, and women's issues. I have a strong interest in supporting those who work to enhance the lives of others (eg. first responders, military, child protection workers, nurses, correctional officers) and their families. Working from a client-centred perspective, with a strong focus on mind-body connection, I aim to build a strong therapeutic alliances with my clients, and this then creates the foundation for change. I believe in honouring each client's strengths, experiences, and individuality, with a belief that we are the experts in our own lives, while at the same time challenging clients to move and grow. I am a member of the Canadian Psychologist Association, EMDR Canada, the Canadian Federation for Clinical Hypnosis, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and I am set up as a provider for Veteran's Affairs, and the RCMP.
