In addition, I offer psychological testing, guidance in mindfulness, homework and practical exercises that can help you progress toward your therapeutic and life goals. I accept a wide range of insurance plans and also offer a sliding payment scale based on need.

Mindfulness practices are being used with a variety of issues, such as anxiety and depression, eating disorders, learning difficulties, addictions, explosive anger, and chronic pain. Taking the time to calm the mind also helps with day-to-day concerns:  work, parenting, household duties, and social relationships.
I have an enduring interest in the relationship between western psychology, meditation, and psychological healing and growth. I have a long-term daily meditation practice and attend retreats around the country on a regular basis.
Some of my assumptions include:
  • Growth is our natural state.
  • Self-compassion fosters empathy.
  • The integration of mind, body, and emotion is essential.
  • Healing is based in spirituality.
  • Growth is more about progress than perfection.
  • Temperance is healthier than fear of non-conformity.
  • Therapy is a dynamic experience that is co-created.
  • A positive therapy relationship is the most important part of successful therapy.
  • People tend to recreate the conditions of past relationships.
  • Therapy reactivates growth and change.
