Britt Gotzinger brings warmth, compassion, humor, and years of personal experience to her work helping individuals, couples and families who seek counseling in Loveland and Northern Colorado. She believes in the power of a strong client-therapist relationship and works to create a warm and welcoming environment that invites openness and healing. Britt helps with a variety of personal and relationship concerns including affair recovery, trust issues, communication, conflict resolution, divorce, intimacy, pre-marital counseling, second marriages, blended family issues, life transitions, career counseling, empowerment, panic attacks, parenting challenges, anxiety, depression, identity issues, life coaching, sexual issues, trauma, and abuse. Britt works with adolescents and teens for a variety of reasons such as self-injury, self-esteem, suicidal ideation, self-worth, depression, school and family issues, and goal setting.

Britt earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communication Studies from St. Cloud State University. While at St. Cloud, Britt worked with individuals in the criminal justice system, volunteered as a sexual assault advocate, and facilitated classes on relationships and sexuality.

Britt works extensively with individuals and couples in Loveland and Northern Colorado. Every person is different, and Britt respectfully tailors her approach to the needs of each individual seeking therapy. She uses a variety of trusted techniques in her work such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Gottman method techniques. She uses her humorous, empathetic, and attentive nature to establish a safe, nonjudgmental place for her clients to begin to trust themselves and explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. You will be empowered to become your own advocate and agent for change while she continues to support you to sustain the positive changes you have achieved.

The therapeutic relationship is collaborative and a powerful facilitator of change. Counseling establishes a safe place so that you may explore your feelings and thoughts and begin the process of trusting yourself and achieving wellness in all aspects of your life. Britt believes integrity, trust, safety, patience, and love are the most important components of the client-counselor relationship.

Britt offers flexible hours and a free initial consultation to make counseling as accessible as possible to you. She often has same day or next day appointments available. Britt has morning, afternoon, and evening availability to fit all schedules.
