Individualized Therapy That Works—With Someone Who Cares
Have you ever been really, truly seen and heard by another person? In my experience, it’s one of the most healing things there is. I’m a naturally caring person, and I have also struggled personally with issues such as depression and anxiety. I really understand what you are going through. I really care that you get better. And I really know what works.
My central approach to therapy is empathy—understanding and reflecting back what you are going through. It never ceases to amaze me how much this helps. However, I also recognize that you may need new skills to resolve your difficulties and feel better on a day-to-day basis. So I also teach a variety of skills tailored to you, based on my advanced training in evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.
During each session I focus on you: your challenges, your strengths, your goals. You will leave empowered to make changes that allow you to live a calmer, happier life. You will gain new insights, tools, and resources. And, most important, you will feel like you and your life matter.
