Catherine discovered she had a passion for helping people at a young age and felt it was her calling to become a counselor. Catherine has always been a curious person who loves to build connections with people. Catherine comes from a large family, who participates in the helping field, ranging from nurses, teachers, and counselors. Catherine has seen the hard work and compassion they have for helping people and has chosen to model that in her life.
Catherine has worked with a broad range of people, from infants to the geriatric population. Catherine has learned that each of the individuals she has had the privilege of working with has taught her something special, and she continues to carry that with her throughout her career.
Catherine has worked in both small and large communities and has integrated these experiences to enhance a balanced overview. She has extensive experience working with different family systems, helping them overcome a variety of life transitions and challenges. Catherine focuses on helping her clients heal, grow, and reach their full potential.
Catherine values clients' expression to be themselves and strives for clients to share their stories. She wants to celebrate each client’s successes and support them in their journey. Catherine understands that going to counseling can be scary and wants clients to know they are supported. She supports her clients by encouraging them to use their voice and provide feedback to her. In order to better herself professionally, Cat seeks to learn and try new therapy methods and incorporate feedback from her clients and supervisor into therapy sessions.
When Catherine is not working with people, you will find her going to music concerts, sporting events, spending time with her family and friends, working out, exploring new places, reading, listening to podcasts, napping, and watching true crime shows. Catherine believes in a balance of down time and hard work.
