What if I told you there was a version of your reality in which you felt happier, more confident, and better able to handle setbacks? Maybe you already believe in this possibility, otherwise, you might not be reading this. Whatever the case, it is very common for people to get stuck in their problems. Whether it be struggles with anxiety, depression, loss/grief, anger, relationships, or simply feeling unsatisfied with life, my goal is to help people make positive personal changes by helping them get unstuck from their current state.
I primarily use:
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Emotion Focused Therapy
  • Clinical Hypnosis
  • Solution Focused Therapy

We can talk about which therapy type would be best for you later!
I have worked in the mental health field for over 6 years. Organizations I have worked with:
  • Currently, I am a part of the Power Psychology team as a Registered Provisional Psychologist where I see individuals and couples to help them achieve personal positive change
  • I am also employed with the Primary Care Network where I provide short term counselling for clients referred for mental health services by their doctor
  • I worked with Alberta Health Services at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury. Here I worked with people suffering from mental illnesses and helped them reach their recovery goals and prepare for independent and healthy living
  • At the Canadian Mental Health Association, I was a volunteer on the distress line, and a mental health educator where I lead educational presentations on mental health
  • At Catholic Social Services, I guided youth living in a half-way house
  • With the Bissell Centre, I was an addictions and mental health recovery worker where I worked closely with individuals with FASD struggling with addictions, mental illness, and trauma
  • At the YWCA, I provided one-on-one counselling for all types of people who experienced trauma and domestic violence

As you can see, I have had experience working with people of all age ranges and of many backgrounds. From this vast experience, I have learned to connect with people and understand their hardships and struggles. I believe that hope for a better future, emotional validation, and behavioural activation are all required for change.

Did you know that the rapport and relationship between the client and therapist is actually the most influential factor for positive results? That is why I offer a free 30 minute consultation so you can decide whether or not we would be a good fit before you commit to working with me. I love working in this field because I get to witness people find wellbeing and happiness. I also love this field because it is constantly evolving and developing, meaning I am always learning new ways and strategies to help people. I hope that you become one of those people! Looking forward to meet you!
