Cynthia Aragon believes in creating a safe,
nurturing, and positive environment where individuals can share their struggles
and journey through the process of change. She believes in creating a
client-centered approach that is supported by connection and empowerment for
all. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and
families to help them achieve the meaningful connection and healthy
relationship they desire. Cynthia’s background began by working with a team by supporting
children and families attached to therapeutic foster care system. Cynthia focus
was working with counseling family members, identifying signs of emotional
concerns, provide therapeutic supports, and placing best practice treatment
plans to help assist in the individual and family system’s growth. She values
the understanding and encouraging space to create positive self-concepts in the
challenging moments in life and changes in life.
Cynthia has the privilege to work on a Behavioral Team with the Exceptional Children’s Department within the public school system. This role allowed Cynthia to work aside teachers and parents to develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of students with varies disabilities. Cynthia worked with students to create goals, personal development skills, independence, and self-advocacy. Cynthia worked as a Program Coordinator, managing residential care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. While there, she developed a strong person-centered approach as a driven interdisciplinary team member, always with the health of the individual at heart. In this role, Cynthia worked with the Colorado Community Control Boards, Department of Public Health, and Health Care Policy and Finance, advocating for the best resources for her clients on her caseload. Cynthia transitioned to private practices and placed focused on working through a systemic family perspective by merging her professional experiences by supporting individual, families, and couples. Life can be unpredictable, with things quickly becoming overwhelming, giving the sense that we are on an intense emotional roller coaster.
Cynthia offers a warm and non-judgmental space to help you and your loved one's process through all of life’s changes and challenges. Cynthia enjoys supporting and strengthening family relationship and couples by building communication, identifying attachment issues, parenting skills, conflict resolution, family relationships, and pre-marital counseling. In addition, Cynthia finds meaning in working with individuals and adolescents by supporting them through empathy and connection by creating a journey with her clients. She has supported many individual clients through anxiety, divorce recovery, infidelity concerns, empowerment, life coaching, self-esteem, social anxiety, panic attacks, infertility and women issues, abandonment issues, and self-worth issues.
Cynthia Aragon has a Master of Arts Degree from Northcentral University in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Liberty University. She utilizes a variety of techniques, including art therapy, child play therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, The Gottman Method, Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT) for individuals, couples, and families, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strength Based Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
