D'Anza Alexander View Specialties



D’Anza is a Registered Psychologist (AB #5340) with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She has a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University, a Bachelor of Arts from Athabasca University, and an Addictions Certificate from McMaster University. She has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), grief and loss, addictions, and disordered eating.
 
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – for individuals that have experienced trauma and are struggling with the negative effects.
 
Grief and Loss – D’Anza utilizes a balance of structure and compassion to support clients while adapting to the changes that come with grief and loss.
 
Disordered Eating – for those that have an unhealthy relationship with food and body image.
 
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – support for understanding the interaction between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how to create more rational thought patterns to increase well-being.
 
Person-Centered Therapy – creating a safe environment for the client to express themselves without fear of judgement or negative consequence.
 
Christian Counselling – upon request, Christian counselling will be offered for those that identify their belief system as one of their strengths in the healing process.
 
Cost:
$200 per 50 minute session for Individual Therapy
$220 per 50 minute session for Couples Therapy
Several health benefit plans offered by employers will include Registered Psychologists as a provider; receipts can be submitted for reimbursement by the benefits provider.
