Dr. Don had a previous TV show on TLC called "Love U." (Love University).
Couples engaged to be married were put through various reality tests.
An example of a test was a couple were put in a sinking rowboat with
a hole in it. They would have to figure out how to coordinate one of
them bailing while the other rowed through a course to a finish line.
Towards the end of the episode Dr. Don and his colleagues would give
a report card grading on how well they communicated, handled stress
and other factors. Feedback from several tests would possibly
indicate how well their marriage could potentially work out.
